Effective Rating definition

Effective Rating means an overall LEAP End-of-Year Rating of Distinguished or Effective.
Effective Rating unless otherwise specified in these Investment Guidelines, shall be based on a nationally recognized statistical rating organization (NRSRO) credit rating that include Standard & Poor’s Corporation (“S&P”), ▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Investor Service, Inc. (“▇▇▇▇▇’▇”), and/or Fitch Ratings Ltd. For the purpose of any test set forth in these Trust Investment Guidelines, the Effective Rating shall be determined as follows: when 4 credit ratings or more are available, the Effective Rating will be the 2nd lowest; when only 3 credit ratings are available, the Effective Rating will be the middle rating; when only 2 credit ratings are available, the Effective Rating will be the lower rating; when only 1 credit rating is available the Effective Rating will be the single rating; and if no ratings are available by any of the above- referenced agencies, the Effective Rating will be the assigned internal rating determined by the Investment Manager pursuant to established policies and procedures. Further, all references to an S&P rating shall mean and include the equivalent rating from ▇▇▇▇▇’▇, and Fitch.
Effective Rating means, in respect of a Replacement Entity or Replaced Entity (the “Relevant Entity”), as the case may be, (i) the unsecured and unsubordinated long-term non-domestic currency issuer credit rating (or equivalent) publicly issued by Moody’s in respect of such Relevant Entity, (ii) if not so rated by Moody’s but is publicly rated by S&P, the Effective Rating specified below. If the rating by S&P or Moody’s of any Relevant Entity is on negative watch by either relevant rating agency, then the rating by either relevant rating agency shall be reduced by one notch before determination of the Effective Rating. If the rating by S&P or Moody’s of any Relevant Entity is on positive watch by either relevant rating agency, then the rating by either relevant rating agency shall be increased by one notch before determination of the Effective Rating.

Examples of Effective Rating in a sentence

  • To be eligible for a base salary increase, the teacher must receive a Highly Effective or Effective Rating on the final LSC evaluation model performed during the prior school year with the exception of those that fall under Indiana Code 20-28- 9.1.5(f).

  • A teacher receiving an Effective Rating of “Skilled” for the 2018-2019 school year and subsequence school years will be evaluated every two years.

  • To advance along the Salary Schedule a teacher must: Pass the previous school year’s evaluation with either a Highly Effective of Effective Rating (this will comprise 80% of the increase in salary) AND 20% of the increase will be from the teacher’s experience/degree.

Effective Rating means an overall LEAP End-of-Year Rating of Distinguished or Effective. "Ineffective Rating" means an overall LEAP End-of-Year Rating of Not Meeting or Approaching.
Effective Rating means the higher of the Moody's Rating for Borrower and the S&P Rating for Bor▇▇▇▇▇ ▇n the day in question, provided that, that if there is both a Moody's Rating for Borrower and a S&P Rating for Borro▇▇▇ ▇▇ such day and there is a difference between the Moody's Rating for Borrower and the S&P Rating for Bor▇▇▇▇▇ ▇f more than one rating level, as listed on the above schedule, then the "Effective Rating" shall be the rating level which is one rating level below the higher of the Moody's Rating for Borrower and the S&P Rating for Bor▇▇▇▇▇, and provided further, that if there is only a Moody's Rating for Borrower or a S&P Rating for Borrow▇▇, ▇▇▇ not both, on the day in question, then the "Effective Rating" shall be the Moody's Rating for Borrower or the S&P Rating for Borr▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ such day. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if there is neither a Moody's Rating for Borrower nor a S&P Rating for Borro▇▇▇ ▇▇ the day in question, then the "Effective Rating" shall be determined as follows:
Effective Rating of the Class A-1 Notes shall be determined as follows: if Fitch is the only rating agency rating the Class A-1 Notes, the Fitch rating will be used, if the rating of one additional equivalent rating agency is obtained, the better rating will be used to make such determination. In the event that the rating of two additional rating agencies are obtained: (i) if one additional rating is better or equivalent and the other additional rating is lesser, the original Fitch rating will be used to make such determination; (ii) if one additional rating is better and the other additional rating is equivalent to the original Fitch rating, the better rating will be used; (iii) if both additional ratings are higher than the original Fitch rating and equivalent to each other, such higher rating shall be used to make such determination, (iv) if both additional ratings are better than the original Fitch rating but not equivalent to each other, the lesser of such higher ratings will be used to make such determination; (v) if both additional ratings are lesser than the original Fitch rating and equivalent to each other, such lesser rating shall be used to make such determination; and (vi) if both additional ratings are lesser than the original Fitch rating but not equivalent to each other, the better of such lower ratings will be used to make such determination.
