A Housestaff Officer who has not completed at least one year training in a Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) approved training program shall be placed at the PGY-1 level.
University Hospital will make a good faith effort to continue the CPME specialty training program to which a Housestaff Officer is assigned.
A Housestaff Officer who has satisfactorily completed one or more years of service in a CPME approved training program in the same specialty in which he/she is currently enrolled may at the discretion of the Residency Program Director be placed at the PGY level which equates to the number of such years of service plus one:(e.g., a Housestaff Officer who has completed two years of service in such training program shall be placed at PGY-3).
Immediately upon final receipt from the ACGME, ADA, AOA, and CPME notification regarding non-accreditation or probation, or similar change in the professional status of any training program.

It is the policy of MLH that each graduate medical education program will establish a formal policy governing resident clinical experience and education (formerly called duty hours) that is in compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Society for Surgical Oncology (SSO), the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME), and The Fellowship Council (TFC).
As required by ACGME and/or CPME, all applicable benefits will be provided upon employment.
This Agreement hereby incorporates by reference the ACGME or CPME Requirements.
