Copays definition

Copays or "Copay" - a dollar amount that You must pay directly to a Provider for certain Covered Health Services. Such dollar amount is in addition to the Premium. (See also Coinsurance.)
Copays. If a copay is required by the patient’s insurance, it will be due at the time of service.
Copays means any applicable co-insurances, co-payments, copays and/or deductibles.

Examples of Copays in a sentence

  • Copays, Premiums, balance- billed charges, and health care this plan doesn’t cover.

  • Copayment means that you pay a fixed amount each time you fill a prescription.
