Control Area Services definition

Control Area Services are those services required by the Transmission Provider or balancing authority as a condition of interconnection, including, but not limited to, generation imbalance, variable energy resource balancing service and any EIM costs associated with interconnection. Control Area Services do not include Ancillary Service costs associated with the Transmission Provider’s provision of firm transmission service.
Control Area Services means generation imbalance, variable energy resource balancing service and any EIM costs associated with the Interconnection Agreement. More Definitions of Control Area Services

Control Area Services. - means those services which are necessary (a) to effectuate energy deliveries under this Agreement and (b) to maintain the integrity of the ITS and the Southern Control Area pursuant to this Agreement. Control Area Services shall include the following for purposes of this Agreement:
Control Area Services. The FERC defined Ancillary Services included in Tucson's Open Access Tariff and as detailed in Exhibit C. Control Area Services. Those tasks which a Control Area operator must perform to establish, execute, and maintain Schedules between Control Areas in accordance with WSCC minimum operating reliability criteria which include, but are not limited to: (i) Prescheduling energy interchange between interconnected Control Areas; (ii) verification of preschedules prior to execution of the next day' Schedules; (iii) hourly execution and verification of Schedules as necessary; (iv) making Schedule adjustments due to uncontrollable force or other curtailment events and notification of affected parties; (v) reconciliation of Inadvertent Energy; and (vi) all accounting activities associated with these tasks.
Control Area Services means the exercise of operating control of the resources necessary to meet the requirements for a Transaction within a party's control area on an instantaneous and continuous basis.
