Conical zone definition

Conical zone means all that land which lies directly under an imaginary conical surface extending upward and outward from the periphery of the horizontal zone at a slope of twenty to one (20 to 1) for horizontal distance of four thousand feet (4,000') as measured radially outward from the periphery of the horizontal surface. The conical zone does not include the precision instrument approach zones and transitional zones.

Conical zone means the land lying under a surface extending outward and upward from the periphery of the horizontal surface at a slope of twenty to one for a horizontal distance of four thousand feet. No structure shall penetrate the conical surface in the conical zone, as depicted on the municipal airport height zoning map.

  • Use Zone means the area beneath and surrounding a play structure or piece of equipment that is designated for unrestricted movement around the equipment, and onto which a child falling from or exiting the equipment could be expected to land.
