These indemnity obligations shall not apply to the extent said Claims arise out of, pertain to, or relate to the negligence of Client or Client's agents, or other independent contractors, including the contractor, subcontractors of contractor or other consultants of Client, or others who are directly responsible to Client, or for defects in design or construction furnished by those persons and/or entities.
