Only those firms currently certified as DBE’s by MoDOT, City of St. Louis/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Airport Authority, Metro, City of Kansas City, and Kansas City Area Transportation Authority are eligible to participate as DBEs on this contract.

It is further recognized that no final agreement between the parties may be executed without ratification by a majority of the Board of Education and by a majority of Traverse City Area Public School employees who are members of the Association, but the parties mutually pledge that representatives selected by each shall be clothed with all the necessary power and authority to make proposals, consider proposals, and make concessions in the course of negotiations or bargaining, subject to final ratification.
In addition, the employee must be qualified for retirement (including disability retirement) under the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System (MPSERS) unless the employee has been employed for a minimum of ten (10) consecutive years by Traverse City Area Public Schools and has reached the age of sixty (60) years.
The employee must be eligible to begin drawing within thirty (30) days of the time of terminating employment with the Traverse City Area Public School District.
Full time employees of the City of Michigan City or the Michigan City Area Schools shall be entitled to a 10% discount, one time per calendar year on any one facility rental (not one rental per facility), excluding the Sunday Special.
Credit for experience outside the Traverse City Area Public Schools shall be evaluated and established by the Superintendent or his/her designated representative.
