CBAM definition

CBAM means the carbon border adjustment mechanism.
CBAM means the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism as regulated in the CBAM Regulation, and related implementing and delegated regulations.

  • Nothing in Exhibit 6.1 shall imply any further commitment by either party under this Amendment to develop the C-BAM or X-BAM.

  • The Commission shall adopt implementing acts laying down detailed conditions for the application of the CBAM to such goods, in particular as regards notions equivalent to those of importation into the customs territory of the Union and of release into free circulation, as regards the procedures relating to the submission of the CBAM declaration in respect of such goods and the controls to be carried out by customs authorities.

  • This one-sided result was at least partly due to the shortcomings in the original C-BAM related questionnaire discussed in section 1.4 (Instruments).

  • By 31 May of each year, the authorised CBAM declarant shall surrender through the CBAM registry a number of CBAM certificates ▌ that corresponds to the embedded emissions declared in accordance with Article 6(2), point (c) and verified in accordance with Article 8 for the calendar year preceding the surrender.
