BOT contract definition

BOT contract. (Build-Operate-Transfer) means a type of contract to build an infrastructure project between a regulatory agency and an investor or special purpose entity; after completion of the works, the investor or special purpose entity shall be entitled to operate it for a specified period of time; upon expiry, the investor or special purpose entity shall transfer it to the regulatory agency.
