Black Butte definition

Black Butte means Black Butte Coal Company, a joint venture owned 50% by Coal Side Debtor KCP, Inc. and 50% by unrelated non-Debtor third party Bitter Creek Coal Company, which is a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum), pursuant to that certain Black Butte Coal Company Agreement dated January 1, 1974,as amended from time to time. Black Butte operates an open cut (surface) mine in the Green River Basin, located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming.
