Basemap definition

Basemap means the Muskegon County GIS Primary Basemap, consisting of digital orthophotography, streets, geopolitical, and cadastral features, along with all associated data tables. See Appendix A for a detailed list of the feature classes (layers) of data that are part of the Basemap.

Examples of Basemap in a sentence

  • Make sure that you are in Basemap mode by tapping on the Stylus – Basemap Feature button in the Mode Toolbar, or by selecting Edit > Stylus Use > Basemap Feature.

  • Layers selected for display will be loaded automatically when you exit the Basemap Layer Control screen.

  • Tap on the Add New Layer button to display the Basemap Layer File screen.

  • If the selected file has been used as a basemap layer before, it will be added to the list on the main screen of the Basemap Layer Control screen.
