Apache Software Foundation definition

Apache Software Foundation has the meaning set forth in the Intellectual Property Agreement.

  • The Parties acknowledge and agree that the purpose of HortonWorks’ performing the Hadoop Base Code Services is to fix Errors in the Hadoop Base Code and to develop the Next Hadoop Release in collaboration with Yahoo, and that each Party will contribute any Hadoop Base Code that it develops in connection therewith to the Apache Software Foundation, pursuant to this Agreement.

  • HortonWorks will contribute all Hadoop Base Code Software developed as part of the Support Services to the Apache Software Foundation in accordance with Section 3.2 (Apache Contribution).

  • HortonWorks and Yahoo will, on a commercially reasonable and good faith basis, cooperate in the performance of the activities set forth in Exhibit G (Hadoop Project Activities), in each case for the purpose of developing and contributing Software to the Hadoop Project of the Apache Software Foundation.

  • Contractor Software means software which is proprietary to the Contractor, including software which is or will be used by the Contractor for the purposes of providing the Services.

  • Licensed Software includes error corrections, upgrades, enhancements or new releases, and any deliverables due under a maintenance or service contract (e.g., patches, fixes, PTFs, programs, code or data conversion, or custom programming).

  • SDK means the JetBrains Rider Software Development Kit and specifically including any associated JetBrains Rider software files, documentation, software code or other materials made available by JetBrains and any third-party software programs that are owned and licensed by parties other than JetBrains and that are either integrated with or made part of the SDK (collectively, “Third-Party Software”).

  • Software Update means a release of Software, in object code form, or firmware, which provides minor fixes, improvements and modifications to the Software or Equipment. Kodak software releases that are designated as updates will be identified A.B.x where the x designates the release as a Software Update.

  • Commercial Software means Software developed or regularly used that: (i) has been sold, leased, or licensed to the general public; (ii) has been offered for sale, lease, or license to the general public; (iii) has not been offered, sold, leased, or licensed to the public but will be available for commercial sale, lease, or license in time to satisfy the delivery requirements of this Contract; or (iv) satisfies a criterion expressed in (i), (ii), or (iii) above and would require only minor modifications to meet the requirements of this Contract.
