Alternative method means any method of sampling and analyzing for an air pollutant that is not a reference or equivalent method but that has been demonstrated to the satisfaction of the commissioner and the U.S. EPA to, in specific cases, produce results adequate for a determination of compliance.
Active voter means a registered voter who has not been classified as an inactive
Multiple Voting Shares means the multiple voting shares in the capital of the Corporation;
Alternative Proposal has the meaning set forth in Section 6.2(b).
e-voting means voting using either the internet, telephone or text message; “e-voting information” has the meaning set out in rule 24.2;
Reference method means any direct test method of sampling and analyzing for an air pollutant as specified in 40 CFR 60, Appendix A*.
Subordinate Voting Shares means the subordinate voting shares in the capital of the Corporation;
Non-Voting Shares means a particular Class of Shares that do not carry the right to notice of or to attend or vote at general meetings of the Company or the relevant Fund.
ECB Recommended Rate means a rate (inclusive of any spreads or adjustments) recommended as the replacement for €STR by the European Central Bank (or any successor administrator of €STR) and/or by a committee officially endorsed or convened by the European Central Bank (or any successor administrator of €STR) for the purpose of recommending a replacement for €STR (which rate may be produced by the European Central Bank or another administrator), as determined by the Issuer and notified by the Issuer to the Calculation Agent;
Alternative Transaction Proposal means any offer, inquiry, proposal or indication of interest, written or oral (whether binding or non-binding and other than an offer, inquiry, proposal or indication of interest by Parent or an Affiliate of Parent), relating to an Alternative Transaction.
Non-Voting Member means a member of a Committee or Sub- Committee of the Council who is not a member of the Council and is not entitled to vote on any matter coming before that Committee or Sub- Committee;
Alternative Benchmark Rate means an alternative benchmark or screen rate which is customarily applied in international debt capital markets transactions for the purposes of determining floating rates of interest (or the relevant component part thereof) in the Specified Currency, provided that all determinations will be made by the Independent Adviser in its reasonable discretion.

Multiple Series Single Limb Extraordinary Resolution means a resolution considered at separate Meetings of the holders of each affected series of Debt Securities Capable of Aggregation, duly convened and held in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Issuer and the Fiscal Agent pursuant to Condition 12(a) (Convening Meetings of Noteholders; Conduct of Meetings of Noteholders; Written Resolutions), as supplemented if necessary, which is passed by a majority of at least 75 per cent. of the aggregate principal amount of the outstanding debt securities of all affected series of Debt Securities Capable of Aggregation (taken in aggregate).
Inactive voter means a registered voter who has:
Qualified voter means a person who is entitled to vote pursuant to the Constitution of Virginia and
Special Voting Share means, in relation to the Corporation, the Carnival Special Voting Share and, in relation to P&O Princess, the P&O Princess Special Voting Share.
majority of the outstanding voting securities shall have the meaning set forth for such terms in the 1940 Act.
Regular election means an election held on a regular election date to elect an individual to, or nominate an individual for, elective office in the regular course of the terms of that elective office.
Non-Voting Common Stock means the non-voting common stock, par value $0.01 per share, of the Company.
alternative maximum council tax reduction means the amount determined in accordance with paragraph 31 and Schedule 4;
Voting Share Reduction means an acquisition or redemption by the Corporation of Voting Shares which, by reducing the number of Voting Shares outstanding, increases the proportionate number of Voting Shares Beneficially Owned by any Person to 20% or more of the Voting Shares then outstanding; and

Positive beam limitation means the automatic or semi-automatic adjustment of an x-ray beam to the size of the selected image receptor, whereby exposures cannot be made without such adjustment.
Integration Proponent means in relation to an Integration Agreement, "the Company" or "the Joint Venturers" as the case may be as defined in, and for the purpose of, that Integration Agreement; "iron ore" includes, without limitation, beneficiated ore; "laws relating to native title" means laws applicable from time to time in the said State in respect of native title and includes the Native Xxxxx Xxx 0000 (Commonwealth);
