Air Gap Fitting definition

Air Gap Fitting means a manufactured device which fits on the RPZ’s discharge port and is designed to serve as an Air Gap. When a manufacturer’s Air Gap Fitting is used and a drain pipe carries the relief port discharge to a drain or sewer, an additional free atmosphere air gap is needed between the end of the relief port discharge pipe and the drain or sewer opening.
