WASHINGTON HEADQUARTERS SERVICES (WHS) DOMESTIC EMPLOYEES TELEWORKING OVERSEAS (DETO) AGREEMENT FOR DOD EMPLOYEES WORKING REMOTELY AT OR NEAR A U.S. EMBASSY OR CONSULATE Between the Department of State, [Office of Secretary of Defense Component]and[Name of Employee] for a DETO arrangement. DETO Agreement Guidance & Instructions To initiate a DETO arrangement, the employee and supervisor should discuss it with each other and then consult with the WHS Telework Coordinator. To request Chief of Mission (COM) approval of a proposed DETO arrangement involving a DoD employee working remotely at or near (within 25 miles) of a U.S. Embassy or consulate, the DoD employee and supervisor will complete and sign this agreement and provide it, along with the listed documents, to the WHS Telework Coordinator.
