The following agreement defines the criteria for EWEMS to initiate a Medical Tiered Response request for Fire Services. It is understood that the Windsor Central Ambulance Communications Centre (W-CACC) is the communication link between EWEMS and local Fire Services. W-CACC is responsible for all Medical Tiered Response communication between the agencies.

This letter of Agreement between the Halton Region Emergency Medical Services (HREMS), Halton Regional Police Services (HRPS) and the four Municipal Fire Services (Oakville, Burlington, Milton & Halton Hills) within the Region of Halton authorizes the activation of tiered response to those conditions identified by the participants in this agreement as requiring a tiered response.

For many years, The Corporation of the Township of Gillies (“Gillies”) through its volunteer fire and/or first response team (“Gillies Emergency Services”) has been called to assist The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay (“CTB”), through its Superior North Emergency Medical Service (“SNEMS”). Assistance is provided for medical emergency calls within Gillies’ geographic area.
