The Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program requires that tenants receiving a direct payment for rental assistance must agree to use the funds for the sole purpose of paying housing costs associated with their rental obligation. This includes past due, current and future rent, and any other applicable fees assigned by the landlord or property management company. To receive rental assistance payments directly, a W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification form must be submitted, along with this signed document.
