Addressing Tobacco Use within Behavioral Health SettingsTechnical Assistance Evaluation Project • January 21st, 2024
Project Background: The Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH), Chronic Disease Prevention Health Promotion Division’s, Tobacco Prevention and Control Section (TPC) is working in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC), Office on Smoking and Health, on a five-year cooperative agreement, CDC DP20-2001. This cooperative agreement supports the achievement of the National Tobacco Control Program goals. The University of Hawaiʻi (UH) Healthy Hawaiʻi Initiative Evaluation Team (HHIET) was asked to collaborate with TPC on a technical assistance (TA) evaluation project during the first year of this agreement. HHIET contributed to three main activities during this technical assistance phase. This summary will focus on Activity 1.
