As a result, educators are continually adapting their means and methods of instruction, and the way they approach student learning, to incorporate the vast, diverse, and unique resources available through the Internet. The Board provides students with access to the Internet for limited educational purposes only and utilizes online educational services/apps to enhance the instruction delivered to its students. The District’s computer network and Internet system do not serve as a public access service or a public forum, and the Board imposes reasonable restrictions on its use consistent with its limited educational purpose.

Use of such resources is a privilege, not a right. Students must conduct themselves in a responsible, efficient, ethical, and legal manner. Unauthorized or inappropriate use, including any violation of these guidelines, may result in cancellation of the privilege, disciplinary action consistent with the applicable Student Handbook, Board Policy and/or civil or criminal liability including reimbursing the School District for any damage or loss incurred as a result of inappropriate use. Prior to accessing the District’s Network and Internet connection, students must sign the Education Technology Acceptable Use and Safety Agreement. A parent or guardian must also sign the Education Technology Acceptable Use and Safety Agreement if his or her student is under the age of 18 or a non-minor dependent.
