The following agreement is to be entered into, in good faith, between both parties; school and student. A+ standing will become a permanent part of the student’s high school transcript. Reviews of the agreement will take place quarterly and a breach of endangerment of the agreement will initiate a written notice being mailed to the involved parties. The A+ Schools Coordinator is responsible for documentation of all requirements and conditions, i.e.: signed agreement, attendance records, tutoring schedule, G.P.A., and citizenship record.

Students who meet the criteria listed below may be eligible to have tuition and general fees paid to any Missouri public community college or career-technical school. Funding for the Student Financial Incentives portion of the A+ Scholarship Program is the sole responsibility of the State of Missouri. The A+ Scholarship Program may provide these educational incentives subject of legislative approval. Funds become available the semester following the student’s graduation.

The Missouri Outstanding Schools Act of 1993 established the “A+ Schools Program” within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to be administered by the Commissioner of Education. A+ certified high school graduates are eligible to receive two years free tuition and general fees (up to $149/credit hour) as a full- time student to any of Missouri’s public community colleges or public vocational or technical schools. Students must make a good faith effort to secure all available federal post-secondary student financial assistance funds (FAFSA) that do not require payment in order to qualify for A+ Schools financial incentives.
