To request a new water and/or sewer service to be installed, please go to the Harnett County Development Services/Central Permitting Office at 420 McKinney Parkway in Lillington. You will be required to complete the New Water and/or Sewer Tap Application (Harnett Regional Water Residential Water/Sewer User Agreement). You will be required to provide proof of ownership for the property where the tap will be located. Also, a photo ID will be required such as your driver’s license or ID card. Fees are based on the services you are requesting. A permit fee will be required for all new services by Central Permitting; the cost of this permit is $40 for water and $50 for sewer. Please see Water Meter Requirements on our website under “Service”, “Important Forms”, “Important Instructions”. The normal installation time frame is 6 to 8 weeks or longer depending on material supply availability from the time application is made. You are required to install a cut off valve within 12 inches from the
