RESIDENCE HALL LICENSE AGREEMENT

This License is for the 2023-2024 academic year. It is revocable by either Jefferson Community College (the “College”) or the owner of the College’s housing complex, the Jefferson FSA Auxiliary, LLC (“JFSAA”). Pursuant to this license you have the right to share a Suite/Quad and occupy a bedroom in the housing complex located at 775 Rand Drive, Watertown, New York (the “Complex”), for the academic year specified above. This license is subject to revocation by either the College or by the JFSAA if you do not adhere to the terms of this license, if you fail to abide by the rules and regulations issued by the JFSAA with respect to the Complex as contained in the Residence Life Handbook, or if you fail to abide by the SUNY Jefferson Code of Conduct. The Residence Life Handbook can be found online at http://www.sunyjefferson.edu/reslife.

The Parties to this Residence Hall License Agreement (“License Agreement”) are: The Culinary Institute of America, the Licensor (“the CIA”), a New York not-for-profit education corporation, with offices at 1946 Campus Drive, Hyde Park NY; 2555 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574; and at 312 Pearl Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78215 and the Resident whose name appears at the end of this document, the Licensee (“Resident”). The CIA Residence Life Office is primarily responsible for the administration of this License Agreement. This is a legal License Agreement (“License Agreement”) between the undersigned student (“Student”) and (if required) his/her/their parent, guardian, or guarantor, and Hunter College of the City University of New York (“Hunter”), on behalf of its Office of Residence Life (“Office of Residence Life”). In consideration for use of a room or apartment at one of Hunter’s Residence Halls (“Residence Halls”), Student agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:

This Agreement is effective the date the parties sign this Agreement, meaning that the financial obligations are effective upon execution of this Agreement. The term of this Agreement is for the entire academic semester and shall begin on the date the student is expected to take occupancy each semester and shall terminate on the day after the last final May 10, 2018. This Agreement does not include residency during University vacation periods, as determined by the University’s undergraduate calendar. The student should not enter into any binding contract or lease with a third party for alternative housing accommodations for any time period concurrent with this Agreement. If the student does so, it will not be grounds for termination of, or release from, this Agreement. The student will be responsible for all payments due hereunder whether the student takes occupancy of the Residence Hall or not. All residential students living in residence without a full kitchen are required to select one of the Independence Meal Plan Options. Students living in residence with full kitchens (Townhouse, Apartment, Liberty Square, Potomac Heights, Northern Neck, and Rogers) are exempt from the resident meal plan program and are eligible to select from the Optional or Freedom Plans. If a resident is required to select a meal plan does not do so the resident will automatically be assigned the Independence Meal Plan $100 Bonus option. If a resident is approved for cancellation of his/her agreement, his/her meal plan will automatically be cancelled.
