This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets forth the points of agreement between the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and (Employer) regarding the Employer’s participation in the Citizen Attestation Employment Verification Pilot ("Citizen Attestation Pilot"). The Citizen Attestation Pilot is a pilot program in which the employment eligibility of all newly hired alien employees will be confirmed after the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9) has been completed. Different Form I-9 requirements apply to newly hired employees attesting to U.S. citizenship (for purposes of this MOU and the Citizen Attestation Pilot, references to U.S. citizenship include U.S. nationality).
