Cultus Lake, B.C. – The Cultus Lake Park Board and the City of Chilliwack have entered into a joint agreement with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to establish Community Policing at Cultus Lake Park over the summer months.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s community policing agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) is the product of numerous discussions and good-faith collaboration between the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Stearns County community. This Agreement was inspired by the St. Cloud Community Policing Agreement (2005; revised 2018) and used that agreement as a model. Work on the present agreement began in October 2019 and continued through March 2021, with interruptions and delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
