In November 2012, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) was entered by DCPS, DYRS and OSSE to ensure the provision of a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) for students with individualized education programs (IEPs) who were committed to DYRS. On Aug. 16, 2016, the MOA was reauthorized by all participating agencies. On Oct. 10, 2017, the option year one of the MOA was exercised by all participating agencies.
