John Hancock Current Interest (the “Trust”) has been organized as a business trust under the laws of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts to engage in the business of an investment company. The Trust’s Board of Trustees has selected you to act as principal underwriter (as such term is defined in Section 2(a)(29) of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended) of the shares of beneficial interest (“shares”) of each series of the Trust (collectively, the “Funds”) and you are willing, as agent for the Trust, to sell the shares to the public, to broker-dealers or to both, in the manner and on the conditions hereinafter set forth. Accordingly, the Trust hereby agrees with you as follows:

THIS AGREEMENT (the “Agreement”) is made as of this 30th day of June, 2020 by and among the trusts listed in Appendix A (the “Trusts”), on behalf of themselves and each of their funds (the “Funds”), John Hancock Investment Management LLC (formerly, John Hancock Advisers, LLC) (“John Hancock”) and the Trust’s Chief Compliance Officer, Frank Knox (the “CCO”).
