SECOND AMENDMENT TO PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

Modern Woodmen of America (“Modern Woodmen”), a fraternal benefit society organized under the laws of the State of Illinois, on behalf of itself and certain of its segregated asset accounts; MWA Financial Services, Inc., an affiliate of Modern Woodmen and the principal underwriter of certain variable annuity contracts (together with Modern Woodmen, the “Company”); Eaton Vance Distributors, Inc. (“EVD”); and Calvert Variable Products, Inc. (the “Fund”), a Maryland corporation, on its behalf and on behalf of each Portfolio set forth on Schedule A to the participation agreement dated December 30, 2016, which adopted and affirmed the terms of a certain participation agreement dated October 29, 2001 except as set forth therein (the “Participation Agreement”). This Second Amendment (the “Amendment”) to the Participation Agreement is effective as of July 24, 2024, by and among the Company, on its own behalf and on behalf of the separate account of the Company as set forth in the Participation

Fund Participation and Service Agreement • April 29th, 2025 • Modern Woodmen of America Variable Annuity Account

Modern Woodmen of America (the "Society"), on its behalf and on behalf of one or more separate accounts of the Society (the “Account”), Capital Client Group, Inc., f/k/a American Funds Distributors, Inc. (“AFD”), American Funds Service Company (“Transfer Agent”), Capital Research and Management Company (“CRMC”) and American Funds Insurance Series (the “Fund” and together with the Society, AFD, Transfer Agent and CRMC, the “Parties”) have previously entered into a Fund Participation and Service Agreement, dated March 11, 2015, as amended by Amendment Nos. 1 and 2 to Fund Participation and Service Agreement (the "Participation Agreement"). The parties now desire to amend the Agreement by this Amendment No. 3 to Fund Participation and Service Agreement, dated effective July 24, 2024 (the "Amendment").

THIRD AMENDMENT TO PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

Modern Woodmen of America (the “Society”), Federated Hermes Insurance Series f/k/a Federated Insurance Series (the “Investment Company”), a Massachusetts business trust, and Federated Securities Corp. (the “Distributor”), a Pennsylvania corporation, entered into a certain Fund Participation Agreement dated July 15, 2011, as amended from time to time, (the “Participation Agreement”), including by that certain Second Amendment to Participation Agreement Regarding Rules 30e-3 and 498Adated May 1, 2021 (the “Second Amendment”). This Third Amendment (the “Amendment”) to the Participation Agreement is effective as of July 24, 2024, by and among the Society, on its own behalf and on behalf of the separate account of the Society as set forth in the Participation Agreement, as may be amended from time to time (the “Account”), the Investment Company and the Distributor (collectively, the “Parties”).
