The owner of 136 Island Street approached the owners of 141 Island St to change the boundary line between their lot 087‐OO‐023 and the lot closest to this lot (087‐OO‐022) owned by 141 Island Ave. claiming that there was a possible misunderstanding about the location of the property line between the two lots. The owner has proposed that the two owners agree to a boundary line agreement to establish a new boundary line between the two lots. The City’s position is that it is a civil issue and if both parties agree, and record the boundary line agreement at the Cumberland County Registry of Deed, the City would follow the new boundary line and both lots would remain legally nonconforming with the change in the boundary.
