With assistance from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees and the United Faculty of Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University Chapter (UFF) started negotiations on January 28, 2011, and bargained for approximately eight (8) weeks. The parties reached a tentative agreement (TA) on March 25, 2011 and signed the TA on March 28, 2011. The FGCU faculty ratification vote was concluded on Monday April 11, 2011, with the faculty voting to ratify the 2011-2014 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Agreement is now to be considered for ratification by the FGCU Board of Trustees during its April 19, 2011 meeting.
