In accordance with Rule 13d-1(k)(1)(iii) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, the persons named below agree to the joint filing on behalf of each of them of a Statement on Schedule 13D dated January 24, 2011 (including any amendments thereto) with respect to the securities of Renewable Energy Group, Inc. This ESCROW AGREEMENT, dated as of February 3, 2010 (this “Escrow Agreement”), is by and among West Central Cooperative, an Iowa cooperative (“West Central”), the persons identified on Exhibit A attached hereto (each, a “USBG Member” and collectively, the “USBG Members”), Wilcox, Polking, Gerken, Schwarzkopf & Copeland, P.C., as escrow agent (the “Escrow Agent”) and, solely for purposes of its obligations pursuant to Section 9(g) hereof, REG Newco, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“ REG”).
