Common use of Zero Coupon Notes Clause in Contracts

Zero Coupon Notes. Where a Zero Coupon Note (which is not linked to an index or formula) is repayable prior to the Maturity Date and is not paid when due, the amount payable prior to the Maturity Date will be the Amortised Face Amount of such Note provided that, if such amount is not paid when due, references to the date on which the Note becomes due will be deemed to be replaced by reference to the Relevant Date. The calculation of the Amortised Face Amount will continue to be made (before as well as after judgment) until the Relevant Date, unless the Relevant Date falls on or after the Maturity Date, in which case the amount due will be the Final Redemption Amount of such Note on the Maturity Date together with any Interest that may accrue in accordance with Base Condition 5.1.
