Workload Disputes Clause Samples

The Workload Disputes clause establishes a process for resolving disagreements between parties regarding the amount, type, or distribution of work under an agreement. Typically, this clause outlines steps such as internal discussions, escalation to management, or even mediation to address concerns if one party believes the workload is unfair or not as agreed. Its core function is to provide a structured mechanism for addressing and resolving workload-related conflicts, thereby minimizing disruptions and maintaining a fair working relationship.
Workload Disputes. Any disputes related to workloads shall first be discussed with the Unit Executive Officer (UEO) and/or designee. If a dispute exists after the discussion with the UEO or designee, the bargaining unit member may notify the appropriate human resources representative to continue the discussion in an effort to resolve the dispute. A union representative may participate in the continued discussion with the human resources representative. Disputes related to workloads shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
Workload Disputes. When a bargaining unit member believes his/her assignment to be excessive, unfair, or inappropriate, the member may elect to follow the grievance procedure outlined in Article VIII or request that the University Workload Committee resolve the issue. The University Workload Committee will transmit its decision to the appropriate administrator, faculty person, and the Union within forty (40) working days. The University Workload Committee shall be convened as needed to review such issues and their decision shall be final and binding on the parties. Workload Disputes. When an employee believes that their workload is not fair or reasonable as cited in Article 31.08(a0 they may refer the matter to the Joint Workload Review Committee. The committee will review the complaint and issue recommendations on it to the parties.
