Working Weights. It is recognised that many items on tour will be of irregular shape and that the weight of an object may not immediately be apparent. It is imperative that anyone lifting that object knows the rough weight, how many people are needed to lift it, and where the optimum lifting points are. Production Companies must weigh and xxxx up scenery prior to it leaving the design workshops. Each item which needs more than one person to lift it will be clearly marked either with the approximate weight, or the optimum number of people who are needed to lift it or, preferably, both. Where an object needs to be lifted in a certain way, or is likely to be dangerous, this will be clearly set out in the loading instructions.

  • Workforce Development MPC’s technical training program is having a major impact in the region. Online modules, short courses, webinars, and on site/videoconferencing events are reaching state and local transportation department employees and tribal transportation planners. By harnessing the capabilities of the four LTAP centers located at the MPC universities and the multimedia capabilities of the Transportation Learning Network (which was founded and is partly funded by MPC) more than 76 technical training events were offered in the second half of 2015. These training modules and short courses are critical to transportation agencies that need to improve or renew the skills of engineering technicians and other frontline workers. Many MPC courses or training events result in the certification of workers. Even when certification is not required, TLN’s online learning management systems allow employees and employers to set learning goals and monitor progress towards these goals. MPC is making another major impact in workforce development. Altogether, 57 graduate students are working on MPC research projects under the tutelage of faculty researchers. These graduate students represent the researchers and technical analysts of tomorrow. Without the MPC program and the stipend funds that it provides, these students may not be specializing in transportation; but, instead would be seeking career opportunities in other fields.   • Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work. Any claimed abuses will be referred to the Grievance Procedure. Where possible, the shop xxxxxxx will be notified. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work until after all rea- sonable efforts have been exhausted to have the work covered.

  • Required Coverages For Generation Resources Of 20 Megawatts Or Less Each Constructing Entity shall maintain the types of insurance as described in section 11.1 paragraphs (a) through (e) above in an amount sufficient to insure against all reasonably foreseeable direct liabilities given the size and nature of the generating equipment being interconnected, the interconnection itself, and the characteristics of the system to which the interconnection is made. Additional insurance may be required by the Interconnection Customer, as a function of owning and operating a Generating Facility. All insurance shall be procured from insurance companies rated “A-,” VII or better by AM Best and authorized to do business in a state or states in which the Interconnection Facilities are located. Failure to maintain required insurance shall be a Breach of the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement.
