Workforce Strategy. Each Recipient shall have implemented as of the Award Date a workforce strategy with respect to each of its Projects to recruit, train and retain the workforce required to meet the Facility Staffing Targets and Disbursement Milestones, which shall include, at a minimum, the following elements (it being understood that these elements may also count toward the applicable community investment commitments in Section 3.6 of this Annex when satisfying such community investment commitments to the extent not financed with the proceeds of the Workforce Award): (a) sponsoring training and education benefits paid for by the Recipients, programs to expand opportunity for Economically Disadvantaged Individuals, and other worker investments, including the following: (i) for the NY Projects, consistent with the NY Recipient’s commitments in its Application (A) through one or more registered apprenticeship program hire up to [***] apprentices per year after reaching the First Wafer Out Milestone for the NY Fab 1 Project who are hired as full-time employees receiving all of the benefits of any other employee, including tuition assistance up to $10,000 per year to cover tuition, books, and fees; and (B) partner with the Syracuse University’s ▇’▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Institute for Veterans and Military Families in the creation of the Semiconductor Hub and Onward to Opportunity program in a total amount over a three year period of not less than $[***]; (ii) for the ID Project, consistent with the ID Recipient’s commitments in its Application, through one or more registered apprenticeship program hire up to [***] apprentices per year after reaching the First Wafer Out Milestone for the ID Project who are hired as full-time employees receiving all of the benefits of any other employee, including tuition assistance up to $10,000 per year to cover tuition, books, and fees; (iii) continuing their funding commitments, as identified in the applications, for: (A) the construction of the Onondaga Community College cleanroom ($5,000,000 commitment); and (B) the Micron internship program; provided that, in each case, the applicable Recipient may replace or modify the foregoing with other similar programs that are at least comparable in quality and utility and are made available to at least the same categories of employees or programs to expand employment opportunity for Economically Disadvantaged Individuals that are at least comparable in effectiveness; (b) for the NY Projects, encourage construction...
Workforce Strategy. The Recipient shall have implemented as of the Award Date a workforce strategy with respect to each Project, informed by the Good Jobs Principles, to recruit, train, and retain the workforce required to meet the Facility Staffing Targets and Disbursement Milestones, which shall include, at a minimum, the following elements: a. providing training and education benefits paid for by the Recipient, programs to expand opportunity for economically disadvantaged individuals, and other worker investments, including the following: b. [***] during the period beginning on the Award Date and ending on the fifth (5th) anniversary of the Award Date in California to fund workforce development, training, and apprenticeship programs, including a Registered Apprenticeship Program; CA Production Technician Process Certification; and SEMI Foundation’s training programs (such as VetWorks, High Tech U in the Classroom, and High Road to Microelectronics); and c. [***] during the period beginning on the Award Date and ending on the fifth (5th) anniversary of the Award Date in Pennsylvania to fund workforce development, training, and apprenticeship programs, including a Registered Apprenticeship; LinkedIn Learning certifications; and SEMI Foundation’s training programs (such as VetWorks, High Tech U in the Classroom, and High Road to Microelectronics);
Workforce Strategy. The Parties shall agree on a performance management and supervisory framework for all their employees involved with the Arrangements.
Workforce Strategy. 1.1 Maintain an awareness of contemporary workforce strategies, practices, trends, and issues relevant to the key functions and service delivery of the EMHS. 1.2 Undertake research and analysis of contemporary workforce literature, legislation, policies, reports, data, stakeholder feedback, and other relevant information, to inform the development and implementation of workforce policies, procedures, guidelines and other initiatives to support staff thriving at work. 1.3 Contribute to the establishment of mechanisms to identify key workforce issues associated with the attraction and retention of staff. 1.4 Lead and undertake simple projects relating to a broad range of workforce strategic initiatives, using sound project management principles and skills. 1.5 Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate contemporary workforce policies, procedures, guidelines, and other relevant initiatives, to ensure they are meeting the desired outcomes. 1.6 Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including the Human Resource (HR) Consultants, to develop, implement, evaluate, monitor, and review workforce initiatives that meet stakeholder needs.

  • Workforce A. The Contractor shall employ only orderly and competent workers, skilled in the performance of the services which they will perform under the Contract. B. The Contractor, its employees, subcontractors, and subcontractor's employees may not while engaged in participating or responding to a solicitation or while in the course and scope of delivering goods or services under a City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ contract or on the City's property . i. use or possess a firearm, including a concealed handgun that is licensed under state law, except as required by the terms of the contract; or ii. use or possess alcoholic or other intoxicating beverages, illegal drugs or controlled substances, nor may such workers be intoxicated, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, on the job. C. If the City or the City's representative notifies the Contractor that any worker is incompetent, disorderly or disobedient, has knowingly or repeatedly violated safety regulations, has possessed any firearms, or has possessed or was under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the job, the Contractor shall immediately remove such worker from Contract services, and may not employ such worker again on Contract services without the City's prior written consent.
