SERVICE SUMMARY. The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) MassHire Department of Career Services (MDCSS) applied for Disaster DWG funding to assist local MassHire Career Centers in serving people who have lost their employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MDCSS has received a DWG award in the amount of $6,993,000, with the ability to apply for additional funding, upon demonstrated fiscal and programmatic performance. To be eligible to participate in the MA Disaster COVID-19 DWG project, individuals must meet all of the following eligibility requirements: • A citizen or national of the United States, lawfully admitted permanent resident alien, refugee, asylee, parolee, or other immigrant authorized by the Attorney General to work in the United States. • In compliance with the Military Selective Service Act. (WIOA Sec. 189(h)). (This applies to males 18 or older who were born on or after January 1, 1960).

SERVICE SUMMARY. The funding for this contract is made available from the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), through the Department of Career Services (DCS), for the provision of services to eligible WIOA Dislocated Workers under the Retail Technology National Dislocated Worker Grant (CFDA# 17.277). The contracted Fiscal Agent will ensure local career centers provide comprehensive employment and training services to eligible Dislocated Workers. This program will provide individualized and training services to the aforementioned Dislocated Workers with the ultimate goal of placement in unsubsidized employment. The target population for the Retail Technology Project is Dislocated Workers who have documented need for WIOA individualized and/or training services to gain re-employment providing self-sufficient wages. For the purposes of this grant the following provisions apply: All Trainees must meet the Dislocated Worker eligibility criteria as established under WIOA Title I as well as: A citizen or national of the United States, lawfully admitted permanent resident alien, refugee, asylee, parolee, or other immigrant authorized by the Attorney General to work in the United States In compliance with the Military Selection Act (This applies to males 18 or older who were born on or after January 1, 1960.) Participants must also have been laid off from one of the following companies on or after 8/1/2015: EMC (including VM ▇▇▇▇) BOSE Gannett Publishing Staples Training services for eligible participants are available through the following model: Individual Training Accounts (ITA) Model See Addendum A for a detailed description of the Project elements associated with this training model. SECTION B: ENROLLMENT AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE RETAIL TECHNOLOGY (RT) NDWG PROJECT VOUCHER PAYMENT SCHEDULE Funding for voucher payments is on a fixed fee basis. Payment is subject to the following conditions: Voucher payments will be single payments per authorized RT NDWG Project enrollment in the following amounts: NDWG Vouchers: $1,500 per authorized enrollee for individualized services Contractor will receive voucher payment for performing the following services: Prospective enrollee outreach, intake, case planning, and orientation; Project Enrollment and Provision of Individualized services Retraining Services, if applicable Job development to prepare a participant for full-time employment Follow up and retention services in accordance with WIOA The Contractor must submit the...

DCS has received a DWG award in the amount of $862,837, with the ability to apply for additional funding, up to $2,588,511, upon demonstrated fiscal and programmatic performance. To be eligible to participate in the MA Disaster Hurricane Response DWG project, individuals must meet all of the following eligibility requirements: WIOA Title I Eligibility including: A citizen or national of the United States, lawfully admitted permanent resident alien, refugee, asylee, parolee, or other immigrant authorized by the Attorney General to work in the United States.
