Work Rules and Information Orders Sample Clauses

The "Work Rules and Information Orders" clause establishes the employer's authority to set and communicate workplace rules, policies, and directives that employees are expected to follow. In practice, this clause allows the employer to issue instructions regarding work procedures, safety protocols, or operational guidelines, and may require employees to acknowledge or comply with updates as they arise. Its core function is to ensure that the employer can maintain order, adapt to changing circumstances, and provide clear expectations for employee conduct, thereby supporting efficient and safe workplace operations.
Work Rules and Information Orders. Section 33.1 The Union recognizes the authority of the Employer to promulgate reasonable work rules, policies, standards of conduct, directives and general orders for the operation of the Clark County Board of DD, that do not conflict with the provisions of this Agreement. The parties also recognize that all employees are subject to, and responsible for, the implementation of statutory and administrative rule provisions, including the rules and ethical standards set forth by the Ohio State Nursing Board, that may not necessarily be included in the Board's rules and regulations. The Employer agrees that new or revised work rules and directives shall be provided to the Union at least fourteen (14) days in advance of their adoption for discussion. All work rules and directives shall be made available to members in advance of their implementation. The parties recognize that all rules and all provisions of this Agreement are subordinated to emergency situations as those may occur.
Work Rules and Information Orders. The Employer agrees that existing work rules and division directives shall be reduced to writing and provided to all covered members. The Employer agrees that to the extent possible, new or revised work rules and division directives shall be provided to members seventy-two (72) hours in advance of their implementation. All work rules or division directives must be applied and interpreted uniformly to all members. Work rules or division directives cannot violate this contract.

The parties also recognize that the Sheriff’s Office and all employees are subject to and responsible for the implementation of statutory and administrative rule provisions (e.g. jail standards) which may not necessarily be included in departmental rules, etc. The Union and employees recognize the responsibility of employees to abide by all Employer rules, regulations, work rules and orders and their responsibility to report to a superior officer or the Sheriff. The Employer agrees that new or revised work rules and directives shall be made available to members by posting said revisions or new rules on the bulletin board and/or in other conspicuous locations within the office not less than fifteen (15) days in advance of their implementation. All work rules or directives must be applied and interpreted uniformly to all members in this bargaining unit.
