Common use of Work During July and August Clause in Contracts

Work During July and August. An employee who, on the specific request of the Board or its designate, voluntarily agrees to work during the months of July and August shall be paid at the rate of l/200th of his/her annual salary per diem. Not withstanding the above, the employee has the right to accept days off in lieu of payment as described in this clause. The employee may elect to take one day off work during the regular work year for each day worked during July and August. It is recognized that this paragraph shall not apply to voluntary involvement in professional development and in-service activities in July and August.
