Common use of Words Clause in Contracts

Words. (a) Wherever and whenever the singular, plural, masculine, feminine or neuter is used in this AMA Agreement, the same will be construed as meaning the plural, singular, feminine, masculine, neuter, body politic or body corporate as the case may be; (b) a reference to an individual by his or her name of office means the individual appointed as the person holding that office from time to time or the successor of that office; (c) a reference to a statute or regulation or a provision thereof means the statute or regulation or provision as amended or superseded from time to time, except where otherwise expressly stated herein; (d) a reference to a person includes a body corporate and a reference to a Department includes the government of the Province of Alberta; (e) a reference to dollars or amounts of money means lawful money of Canada;
