Common use of Wood Pole Clause in Contracts

Wood Pole. Wood poles shall be drilled so that the distance from the sidewalk to the bottom of the pole plate shall be twenty three (23) feet for a standard bracket, or of such other height as directed by NYCDOT. Brackets shall be installed on poles using through bolt and special washers for head support and 1/2 inch x 4 inch lag screws for scroll support where required. Brackets shall be set at right angles to the curb, unless otherwise specified. Brackets installed on poles situated on the corner of street intersections, shall be installed in such a manner that a luminaire is suspended in proper position; shims or gains on pole, if necessary, may be used for this purpose. The Contractor shall furnish the through bolts, special washers and lag screws. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and material necessary for the relocation or adjustment of a bracket on a wood pole or on a wall. Bracket and arm for Traffic M-2 lamppost will be furnished by the City.
