Video Remote Interpreting. The BOP shall, within ninety (90) calendar days of the Effective Date, install any additional VRI stations that may be needed in order to meet the interpreting obligations provided for in this Agreement (e.g., in the SHU or the Annex). For all VRI stations, the BOP shall ensure that those stations are equipped with high speed internet connections adequate to support VRI.
Video Remote Interpreting. Definition- For the purposes of this agreement, the definition of Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is when the interpreter is remote from both the proceeding/event and the individual(s) for whom the interpreter is rendering interpreting services by means of an audiovisual delivery system. Except as addressed in the terms of this Agreement, the use of spoken language VRI shall not otherwise modify the contractual or statutory requirements of the Trial Court Interpreter Employment and Labor Relations Act or the terms of this Memorandum of Understanding. Video Remote Interpreting. Position Description: To provide interpretation for individuals during meetings, interviews, daily office tasks or other related individual needs. Minimum Qualifications: • Native speaker • Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of professional work experience These services will be offered in two classes. On demand services are for high volume customers and will be charged at a per minute rate. There will be a $150.00 minimum per month. For scheduled services, there is a $150.00 minimum. Class 1 American Sign Language Spanish (on demand) 3 TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES TransPerfect uses native, professional transcriptionists for our projects and we provide them with, any and all background and reference materials possible. Additionally, we look at accents and other local characteristics found in the audio/video and seek to match the appropriate transcriptionists. After a transcription is completed, we add a proofreading/Quality Control step utilizing a second native speaker depending on the client’s specifications and what they intend to use the transcript for. Finally, we complete a final eye-check to verifying the formatting is correct and all of the client’s required specifications are fully met. All transcript deliverables can be provided to the client in both paper and digital copy. TransPerfect has the ability to work with the following files without having to needing to convert the format.: MP3, MP4, .WMA, .WVA, QuickTime, .DSS, .MSV, .DVF. Position Description: TransPerfect Translators are tasked with accurately transcribing, proofreading and editing audio into text. They monitor all quality control steps, and confirm they are adhering to and make sure projects are completed on time. Video Remote Interpreting. If, at any point during the term of this Agreement, HCA decides to provide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) through HCA’s ISP System, HCA agrees to abide by the following terms: The HCA ISP System’s VRI service shall have real-time, full-motion video and audio over a dedicated high-speed, wide-bandwidth video connection or wireless connection that delivers high-quality video images that comply with the requirements of 28 X.XX. § 35.160(d). HCA shall not be responsible for ensuring that the health care providers who are the end-users of the system comply with the equipment and training requirements of 28 C.F.R. § 35.160(d), however, HCA shall require health care providers using their system to agree as a term of use that they: Will abide by the equipment and training requirements of 28 C.F.R. § 35.160(d); and Will not rely upon VRI in circumstances where it would be incompatible with effective communication, including but not limited to circumstances where the patient or companion has limited range of view or cognitive or other sensory impairments.

If and when using VRI services, MinuteClinic shall ensure that it provides: (1) Real-time, full-motion video and audio over a dedicated high-speed, wide- bandwidth video connection or wireless connection that delivers high-quality video images that do not produce lags, choppy, blurry, or grainy images, or irregular pauses in communication; (2) A sharply delineated image that is large enough to display the interpreter’s face, arms, hands, and fingers, and the participating individual’s face, arms, hands, and fingers, regardless of his or her body position; (3) A clear, audible transmission of voices; and

Within two weeks of the Effective Date, each department that utilizes VRI will maintain an up- to-date reference in a readily accessible location that indicates (a) where VRI equipment is located, (b) who is responsible for maintaining and setting up VRI equipment with contact information for those individuals, and (c) how to use the VRI equipment.
