The Veterans Services clause outlines the obligations and provisions related to supporting veterans within the scope of an agreement or program. Veterans Services. Veterans’ Representatives from the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) of the Department of Career Services are co-located at the one-stop career centers to provide timely career services. Veterans receive priority of service status and will be provided immediate access to career center services. The Partners will refer Veterans to the one-stop career centers for services(attachment F).

The mission of the Del Mar College Veterans Center is to provide services to Veterans, Active Service Members, and dependents that will aid them in pursuing a quality education, workforce preparation, and lifelong learning by providing guidance and assistance, awareness and recognition programs, and coordinating services to address the academic, financial, physical and social needs of students.

Veterans Services. The parties may mutually agree to other scheduling arrangements than those specified in this Section. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 a.m. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer and the Union may discuss alternate work schedule arrangements as reflected in Section 13.13. Part-time employees shall be surveyed to determine the number of hours they would like to work. The Employer shall attempt to schedule each part-time employee for his/her preferred number of hours in seniority order. Part-time employees shall receive posted schedules showing the days and number of hours they shall work.
Veterans Services. Veterans’ Representatives from the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) of the Department of Career Services are co-located at the one-stop career centers to provide timely career services. The Partners will refer Veterans to the one-stop career centers for services(attachment F). f) Older Workers Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), through Operation ABLE, will be co-located at the career center to maximize opportunities for older workers to obtain employment. SCSEP will: • Schedule and maintain posted hours at the OSCC (attachment A) • Develop, monitor, and maintain two-way referral systems with OSCC staff • Maintain accurate records of customer intakes, assessments, IEPs, community service assignments, referrals, and other services provided • Refer SCSEP individuals looking for employment or training to the OSCCs The OSCC will: • Designate space for staff for co-location at agreed upon scheduled times • Make available information on SCSEP programs, services, and resources • Dedicate staff liaison(s) for SCSEP clients; trained and knowledgeable about programs/requirements • Ensure OSCC staff is trained to respond to/or make referrals for potentially eligible customers
Veterans Services. Each University shall be responsible for obtaining any approvals for its programs by the Indiana State Approving Agency for the GI Bill as well as any necessary approvals needed for military education benefits. Each University shall be responsible for all GI Bill processing for its eligible students enrolled at the respective Indianapolis Campuses. Each University shall be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training the point(s) of contact for its veteran, activity military or other GI Bill-eligible students.
Veterans Services. In the provision of services, veterans' priority will be followed in accordance with New York State Law, Chapter 553 (199r), Title 38, U.S. Code, Chapters 41 and 20 CFR, Chapter IX, Code of Federal Regulations, codified at 20 CFR 1001.100 et seq., and the provisions of the DVOPs and LVER grants. • Case Management Services for targeted referrals. • LVER and DVOP staff will provide technical assistance and staff training to “One-Stop” staff relative to programs, resources and the priority of services for veterans. LVER staff, as functional supervisors for veterans’ services, will make recommendations to “One-Stop” operators for improvements in services to veterans. DVOP and LVER staff will provide direct services to assist “One-Stop” staff in the provision of priority services for veterans under the ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇ Act.
Veterans Services. Both Universities agree to cooperate to ensure that GI Bill-eligible students from one University taking Service Courses (as defined in the Curriculum Agreement) from the other University are certified for their GI Bill benefits in accordance with applicable law.
