House rules of Studentenwerk dormitories This is a slightly shortened translation offered by the International Office. The only legally binding version of this document is the German original, issued with your rental contract. Living together in a student dormitory requires respect amongst the students. It is therefore necessary to avoid any disturbance, health impairment or harassment of the other tenants. The tenant is obliged to be careful in handling any equipment of the room and the house, as well as when using the common areas. Any damages need to be reported immediately. To save costs and to preserve the environment, all students have to be aware of their usage of water, electricity and heating and are required to save energy wherever they can.
