Verb dhal. The outcome that 4 out of 10 survey respondents preferred the feminine noun gabar ‘girl’ in a sentence with masculine verb form dhalay ‘givebirth’ may seem ungrammatical. But an equal number, 4 out of 10, chose the masculine noun qof ‘person’.
Verb dhal. The verb dhal ‘give birth’ was also found in the corpus, featuring many different forms and relevant examples. Here, two examples will be explored, both examples have feminine subject noun gabadh ‘girl’.
