Vehicle transport a) Reasonable expenses for reimbursement for the purpose of an employee travelling from their Home Address to the vessel and vice versa shall be the equivalent cost of the most economical means of transport between taxi fares, mileage allowance and hiring a car, up to a maximum of $181.20 per trip. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the Employer and an Employee should seek prior approval where possible. When an employee is required to utilise their own vehicle they will be reimbursed at the appropriate rate per kilometre in accordance with the rates set by the Australian Taxation Office at that time.
b) Where the employee's vehicle is returned to the employee's place of residence then the kilometres for the return journey may be counted subject to the reasonableness test in this sub clause.
