The Vacation Credit Date (VCD) clause defines the specific date on which an employee becomes eligible to receive vacation time or accruals. Typically, this date is set as the employee’s hire date, anniversary date, or another predetermined milestone, and it determines when vacation entitlements are calculated or reset each year. By clearly establishing when vacation credits are granted or renewed, the clause ensures consistency in vacation accruals and helps both employers and employees track and plan time off accurately.
Vacation Credit Date (VCD. The VCD represents all service regardless of breaks. While a regular employee, service credits shall be based on the current ECD and adjusted for all previous periods of OPG employment. All employees who currently work reduced hours or have done so in the past, will have such service calculated as if were full-time. (VCD is used to determine vacation bonus.)
