Utility Inspections Clause Samples

The Utility Inspections clause establishes the right and process for inspecting utility systems or infrastructure related to a property or project. Typically, it allows one or both parties—such as a buyer, tenant, or contractor—to access the premises to examine water, gas, electrical, or other utility lines and equipment, often within a specified timeframe and under certain conditions. This clause ensures that all utility systems are functioning properly and meet required standards before finalizing a transaction or commencing work, thereby reducing the risk of undiscovered defects or compliance issues.
