Union Representations Sample Clauses
The Union Representations clause sets out the statements and assurances made by a union regarding its authority and status in relation to the employees it represents. Typically, this clause confirms that the union is duly recognized or certified to act as the bargaining agent for a specific group of employees and that it has the legal capacity to enter into the agreement. Union Representations. Union staff representatives shall be permitted to have access to the premises of the Employer for the performance of official Union business, provided that there is no disruption of operations. Requests for such access will be made in advance and will not be unreasonably denied. The Union will furnish the Employer with a list of staff representatives and their areas of jurisdiction.
Union Representations. 5.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select stewards to assist employees in presenting their grievances to the representatives of the Company.
5.02 There shall be three (3) stewards plant wide; distributed as one (1) for each shift. The Company also recognizes three (3) additional Union executives. All stewards shall have completed their probationary period.
5.03 The Company further acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select from the Bargaining Unit a Negotiating Committee to consist of the Unit Chairperson and two (2) employees from the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period (exceptions: where the President is from the Bargaining Unit, they will also be included). The Company will negotiate with such committee for renewals or extensions of agreements. A Staff Representative of the U.S.W., will participate in such negotiations if requested to do so by the Union.
5.04 Upon prior approval of the Human Resources Department, the Company will pay the Unit Chairperson and/or the Unit Grievor of the Local Union for time spent investigating grievances and/or problems. The rate of pay shall be at the individual's regular hourly rate.
5.05 Union stewards, members of the Negotiating Committee (excepting International U.S.W. representation) as heretofore specified and any other employees requested by the Company to attend a meeting other than specified in Section 5.04 herewith shall be compensated for time so spent at his regular hourly rate.
5.06 The Company shall initially pay for all lost time for Union business. The Company shall accrue such hours and submit an invoice to the Union on a monthly basis for reimbursement for those hours where an employee is absent for work due to union business which is not paid for elsewhere in the Agreement.

The Union will update the list and provide it to Agencies every six (6) months, as well as provide notification of newly elected and appointed Union officials upon such election or appointment. Union Representations. The College will hear any representations by the Local Union prior to implementing such a position, provided such representations are made promptly.
Union Representations. 5.01 The Company agrees to recognize the following committees of the Union to represent the employees for the purposes described herein:
a) A Negotiating Committee comprised of not more than two (2) employees, one (1) of whom shall be the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, selected by the Union to act on behalf of the Union in negotiating a Collective Agreement, or renewal thereof, with the Company. Members of the Negotiating Committee will be paid a regular shift at their regular rate for each day spent in direct negotiations and shall include two (2) eight (8) hour days for the purpose of drafting proposals, and
b) A Grievance Committee comprised of no more than three (3) Stewards of whom one
(1) shall be Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, selected by the Union, to assist in the presentation under Article 6 of any proper grievance that may arise. The remaining two (2) Stewards shall be elected by the employees.
c) The Union will elect a total of five (5) Shop Stewards, one of which will be the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. These Stewards will be responsible for the administration of the Collective Agreement. The Company shall undertake to communicate with the Union through the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or through the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'▇ designated replacement.
d) The Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be released from his regular duties to attend to Union business on the first Tuesday of every month and shall receive a regular day’s pay.
e) The Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will receive a premium of fifty cents ($0.50) per hour for all hours worked including overtime. When the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is absent on an authorized leave, his designated replacement will receive the fifty cent ($0.50) premium.
5.02 The members of the Negotiating and Grievance Committees shall be employees who have completed their probationary period.
5.03 The Union shall notify the Company in writing of the names of the employees who are members of the Committees and Shop Stewards. The Company shall not be required to recognize them until so notified..
5.04 The Union acknowledges that each of the Shop Stewards and each member of the Grievance Committee has regular work to perform and that he/she shall only absent himself/herself from such work with the permission of the Supervisor, such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Upon resuming his/her regular duties, he/she shall again report to the Supervisor. Union Representations. The Union shall name a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and health and safety representative for the third shift.
Union Representations a) The Union will inform the Employer of the Executive Board Member(s) and Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇(s) elected or appointed to represent the ATU Members employed by BA International Inc. The Union will update the Employer of any changes to the Executive Board.
b) The Union Executive Board Member, alternates and members of committees will be required to perform their regular job duties.

5.02 The Company recognizes that there shall be a Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for the bargaining unit and a maximum of two (2) Stewards per shift, as long as each ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ on any given shift is in a different department. All Stewards shall have completed probation.
5.03 The Company further acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select from the bargaining unit a Negotiating Committee of not more than four (4) employees who have completed probation. The Negotiating Committee shall be comprised of only Foseco-Morval employees and may include the President and/or Unit Chairperson of Local 838. The Company will negotiate exclusively with this Committee for renewals, extensions or amendments of this agreement. A representative of the Steelworkers will be allowed to participate in such negotiations.
5.04 The Company will pay the Negotiating Committee for time lost from their normal hours at every other meeting scheduled for negotiating agreements between the Company and Union, but not including conciliation. The Company will Schedule the Negotiating Committee on the day shift for the weeks they are in negotiation meetings with the company. Upon prior approval from the Plant Manager or his designate the Company will pay, Foseco-Morval employees which may include, the President and/or the Unit Chairperson of the Local Union for time spent investigating grievances and/or problems at Foseco-Morval. The rate of pay shall be at the individual's regular hourly rate plus any applicable premiums for shift or lead hand.
5.05 Union stewards, members of the Negotiating Committee (excepting International U.S.W.A. representation) as heretofore specified and any other employees requested by the Company to attend a meeting other than specified in Section 5.04 herewith shall be compensated for time so spent at his regular hourly rate.
