Common use of Tuberculosis Examination Clause in Contracts

Tuberculosis Examination. 4.8.1 Each new member of the District must provide written evidence that he/she has been examined for tuberculosis within 60 days before the beginning of work. The member may not begin work unless this examination demonstrates freedom from active tuberculosis. 4.8.2 In order to continue employment with the District, each member must provide evidence of a test demonstrating freedom from tuberculosis every four years. The District will pay the cost of such examinations if they are conducted in institutions specified by the District. 4.8.3 Any member found to have active tuberculosis shall be placed on leave of absence, subject to the usual sick leave provisions. The member shall not return to duty until a certificate signed by a healthcare provider is presented, stating freedom from active tuberculosis.
