Time in Classification. An employee with the greatest amount of time in the classification shall be determined to be the most senior employee.
Time in Classification time in classification seniority is determined by the most recent date of Promotion. F.F.
Time in Classification. Shall be calculated from the effective date of the assignment in the employee's current classification. Any time served in a former classification that, through the Civil Service law enforcement benchmark, becomes one of the classifications listed in Article 1, Section 2 of this Agreement, shall also be included in time-in-classification seniority. In addition, time-in-classification seniority shall include all time served in the classification in the event the employee had more than one assignment in his/her current classification, except that time served in another classification shall not be counted.
Time in Classification. The employee has worked in a budgeted higher classification for the requisite time periods specified below: a. If the budgeted position classification to which the employee is assigned is vacant due to lack of a permanent employee occupying said position, the requisite time period is three (3) consecutive work weeks. b. If the budgeted position classification to which the employee is assigned is vacant due to a temporary absence of a permanent employee, such as illness, vacation, leave of absence, or absence without leave, the requisite time period is a cumulative period of four (4) work weeks in a twelve month period preceding the day upon which the employee is working in the higher classification.
Time in Classification. The prioritized order for calculation of rights and privileges afforded by this Agreement. Calculation of such priority shall be determined for each regular employee by the employee’s respective date of assignment within his/her current classification. For regular, part-time personnel the prioritized order shall be based upon such employee’s proportional length of service his/her current classification.
Time in Classification. Time in classification seniority is determined by the most recent date of Promotion. Firefighter, Paramedic or Firefighter/Paramedic (FF/PM) seniority is determined by the employee's actual date of hire as determined by Paragraph A, Section 2, Bargaining Unit Seniority.
