Common use of TIME HOURS Clause in Contracts

TIME HOURS. The Employer agrees to post the scheduled hours of work, in advance, the first of every month. The Employer, for each twelve (12) week period, will calculate the total hours and average hours for all regular part-time employees and provide a copy of such to the Union on a quarterly basis. Regular part-time employees shall not average more than twenty-four (24) hours per week over each twelve (12) week period. If a part-time employee is requested to work, in excess of these hours due to illness or other emergencies, the Union shall be advised. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to give regular part-time employees at least forty-eight (48) hours notice, in advance, of a change in scheduling of hours. The failure by the Employer to give proper notice, shall not result in the loss of pay for the affected employees.
